More about Bertram

Bertram Texas, a friendly little city of around 1300 people, is located at the intersection of TX HWY 29, FM 243 and RM 1174 about 45 miles northwest of Austin. Bertram is best known for the annual Oatmeal Festival, its train depot that was restored by the Austin Steam Train Association, and several unique businesses that are at the top of their respective fields. The Bertram Elementary School, grades K-5, has achieved the "Exemplary" rating, the highest rating given to Texas schools, the last four years. The relaxed rural setting and the friendly people make this nearly crime free area an excellent place to live.
